FACE POWDER

Continuing the series, prerequisites for a perfect makeup, today I will speak of face powder. Click on the link -   SERIES OF PREREQUISITE FOR MAKE UP PERFECT

Currently on the market there are different consistencies for face powder with different functions. Know their roles and know how to apply it is essential. For an inappropriately applied powder can evidence fine lines, small defects and not give the desired result.

One of the oldest face powder worn by women is rice powder

BRIEF HISTORY OF RICE POWDER

The powder is a fine starch obtained from the grain of rice, known scientifically as Oryza sativa.

Rice has been used as a natural beauty treatment for thousands of years to relieve the inflammation associated with skin disorders and for the cleaning and softening of the skin.

Since the sixteenth century, it has been used by Japanese geishas in makeup, because white fur has always been synonymous with wealth in Japan.

In Indonesia women drinkers rice in water to form a top layer of white foam. They withdrew this foam and leave dehydrate to form the powder that was used for makeup and skin treatment. The water in the rice is considered a natural emollient for retarding skin aging. Currently the rice starch (Oryza sativa) is still used as a raw material in the manufacture of some post makeup, such as translucent.

CONSISTENCY OF POWDERS

- POWDER COMPACT - Helps establish the foundation, providing better coverage, gives a silky finish to the skin and reduces facial oiliness.

LOOSE POWDER - The loose particles remove glare of the skin and prolong the effect of foundation and concealer.

POWDER METEORITES, PEARLS AND OR BALLS - To help fix the foundation and give light to the face. It may be a single color or multiple colors.

The first meteorite powder was launched in 1987 by the French company Guerlain. There are 6 colors marbles: pink for a healthy aspect, Green to reduce redness, lilac to absorb and reflect light, white to clear, gold and pearl to light (according to the description of the company itself).

OBSERVATION: Today in the market there is a face powder without preservatives, popular called mineral powder. The mineral powder is not a consistency nor a functional category of dust, is just a new formulation for the face powder. So it is found in compact and loose consistency, and there are various mineral powders intended for various functions.

TYPES OF POWDER ACCORDING TO FUNCTION

FACIAL POWDER - is the most common. He fixes the foundation, reduces oiliness and gives a silky finish to makeup. It has the 03 consistencies. You should use the powder in the same tone of the base. If you want to lighten a little the foundation, you can use the powder a shade lighter.

FACIAL POWDER ILLUMINATOR - is used to illuminate the face of the areas you want to highlight. It has the compact consistency and ball. Usually it comes in shades of pink or gold.

FACIAL POWDER BRONZER - If he brightness can be used to give a light tan skin effect. It has the compact consistency and ball. It must be one step more than the skin.

If you do not shine, it is suitable to make the facial contour. It is found in compact texture. To find out where around click on the link :FACIAL CONTOURING

One should use one or two shades darker than the skin. Over two-tone may be exaggerated.

FACIAL POWDER TRANSLUCENT - has a very fine texture, can be in white or pink tones, no color gives the skin. Can be loose or compact. It is intended to finalize the makeup, removing excess shine and giving a glossy appearance to the skin.

Andlit duft
