It is the 3rd Brazilian city most visited by foreigners. It is located in western Parana State. It is bordered by East-Ciudad del Paraguay and Puerto Iguazú - Argentina, receiving the City name of the Triple Frontier.

The city has about 300,000 inhabitants. The main source of income is tourism, followed by commerce and services.

The climate of Foz do Iguaçu is humid subtropical. The hottest period is from November to February, when the maximum temperature exceeds 30 ° C. The cold is limited to the months of June, July and August, when the average temperature is 12ºC. July and August are the least rainy months. In October, historically the rains are more intense. In the rest of the year, rainfall stable.

Foz do Iguaçu is considered one of the most multicultural cities in Brazil, where there are about 70 ethnic groups from various parts of the world, and among the main ones are the Italians, Germans, Argentines, Paraguayans, Chinese, uvranianos, Japanese and Lebanese .

As I live in Curitiba, Foz do Iguaçu is a city that I'm always visiting, not only beautiful natural beauties of the city, but also the ability to buy imported products with best prices in Dutty Free of Argentina and Paraguay.

The Park was established in 1939 and is considered one of the last forest reserves of the Atlantic Forest of Brazil and the largest reserve of subtropical rainforest in the world. The park protects a rich biodiversity, consisting of representative species of Brazilian fauna and flora, some of which are threatened with extinction, such as the jaguar. It is united by the Iguaçu River to the Iguazú National Park in Argentina. Parks both Brazilian and Argentine now considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984 and 1986 respectively.

Was voted one of the seven natural wonders of the world and deserves this title because it is beautiful and the feeling to pass so close to huge waterfalls is indescribable. It is located between the Iguaçu National Park - Brazil and Argentina Iguazú- National Park.

The word Iguaçu means "large water", in Tupi-Guarani. The falls are formed by the falls of Iguaçu river. Eighteen kilometers before joining the Paraná River, the Iguaçu overcomes a ground unevenness and plunges when dropped up to 80 meters high.

The Bird Park is a private park of Brazil established in 1994 and currently has 17 hectares of native forest, it is situated in front of the Iguaçu National Park. It has about 1,000 birds of 150 Brazilian species, and other exotic specimens, is considered one of the largest bird parks in Latin America. Nursery in Pantanal, which is a part of the walk in the park, tourists pass through unique moments to get very close to birds such as beautiful toucans who pose for the cameras. Already in the nursery of Birds and the African Savannah, rare species of exotic colors leave the place with a special color. Upon reaching the known grounds of macaws, the tourist passes through one of the most exciting parts, as contact with the birds is allowed and the beauty of these animals leaves everyone dazzled

Itaipu, monumental work of engineering run by Brazil and Paraguay, generates electricity since 1984.

The tours inside the plant are: Panoramic circuit, visit inside the plant, the biological reserve trails, museum, catamaran ride in the Itaipu Lake and overnight have the show of lights and music on the dam.

We need to reserve one of the nights in Foz do Iguaçu for Rafain Churrascaria. During a hearty dinner, served in free buffet and full of all kinds of food, barbecue, happens the famous Latin Show. I went and found the exhilarating spectacle, with attractions of all Latin American countries.

Another attraction that is worth a lot a reservation is the Italian night, which takes place at Hotel Bella Italia. It is a hearty and delicious Italian dinner in type system "all you can eat", which serves delicious homemade pasta, in addition to having a delicious antipasti table. And if you have leftover space in the stomach, you can still enjoy delicious desserts.

The Argentine small town of Puerto Iguazú is very close to Foz. Just cross the bridge of brotherhood, where it crosses the border of the river. You only need to take the RG for Brazilian passport for foreigners.

Tiny, bucolic, the city is full of crafts shops, ice cream parlors and restaurants where you can taste the Argentina cuisine.

On the way to Puerto Iguazu, it is possible to pass by the dutty free and do some little shopping. I really like this place.

If desired, you can pay a visit to Paraguay, crossing the bridge of friendship. The documents required are the same for the city Argentina. For me, the best places to visit are the shopping Del Este, which sells everything Monaliza the store, and the SAX Department Storeque is also a kind of shopping with all products.

If they want a local indication for hosting, as well as some great hotels that the city has, I really like Mabu Thermas Resort.
